Smart Data Recovery is a tool that lets retrieve files and folder which were previously deleted from system.
The user interface of the program consists of a plain and simple window in which have few options at your disposal.
Can select a drive, recovery mode (normal or extended) and the file format to look for (TXT, DOC, XLS, JPG, GIF, MP3, WMA, MPEG, AVI, ZIP, RAR or all).
The extended mode takes a little longer to complete a scan, but this option is deal for a thorough search or in the case of formatted discs. Scanning may take a while to finish, depending on the size of hard drive. Displays the total number of files scanned and found the files were deleted, as well as the progress bar.
The results are displayed using the layout-based Explorer to navigate the folder and keep track of certain files in the search.
In the list can be seen the name, data, time, size and the possibility of recovering from any file. Open the output folder as soon as the task is completed, and can set the default path in the menu "Options".
The program uses a massive amount of system memory and contains an incomplete help file. Furthermore, the program is not able to restore all files it has found and the "Wipe" function doesn't work on Windows Vista or newer. Nevertheless, Smart Data Recovery is very easy to use, even by beginners.
